New year, new project
Well, I have decided to start a new, and daunting, project.

I am going to write and produce an audio adaptation of John W. Campbell's "Who Goes There?"

The novella "Who Goes There" was the inspiration for two movies (1951's The Thing from Another World and 1982's The Thing). It has been made into audio at least twice that I have found, and possibly more. There was a small comic book version in the 70's, and a sequel to the 1982 movie in comic book for in the late 80's or early 90's.

I will be attempting to merge the four sources that I am most familiar with: the original text, the 70's comic, and the two movies.

This is my favorite fictional story. Since I love to write, I love this story, am now producing audio (having produced a short story for The Dunesteef Audio Fiction Magazine which will air on their website http://dunesteef.com sometime this year) and voice acting, I thought this would be a neat thing to try.

So, I have started researching and writing. I will be needing 10 male voice actors and have several in mind to invite. If you are interested, please let me know, although it will be a while before lines are ready.

This will be done as a fan production, not an official adaptation. This is common enough with other productions, so should not be a legal problem. No money will be made or taken by me or anyone else associated with it. It'll be free to those who want to listen.

Wish me luck.
